What are Floral Waters? Floral waters, also known as hydrosols or hydrolats, are the byproduct of the steam distillation of plants, flowers, and herbs for essential oil production. They contain the water-soluble components of the plant, including aromatic compounds, minerals, and nutrients. Floral waters are milder than essential oils and can be used as a toner, facial mist, or as an ingredient in skincare products. They are also used for aromatherapy and can be added to baths, used as a room spray, or inhaled directly. Popular examples of floral waters include rose water, lavender water, and chamomile water. Why our floral waters are different? Urban Medicine Woman (UMW) Floral Waters are unique and obtained from an exclusive second distillation process (unlike some other floral waters obtained by simply adding essential oil to water). Our Floral Waters are free of alcohol and additives ensuring a completely pure and natural product. |
